IT services outfit Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC) has picked up a new deal with BlueScope Steel worth up to $480 million.

The four year contract with two, two-year options, will see the supply of multi-platform consulting, applications development and support, disaster recovery, systems integration and end user services.

CSC has provided similar services to BlueScope since May 2000 and also services the company’s Asia, NZ and North America businesses.

BlueScope Steel CIO Andrew Baker said the company had been pleased with the support, cost saving initiatives and service delivery improvements delivered by CSC to date.

CSC Australia managing director Mike Shove said the services company would look to deliver price transparency, strict benchmarking, competitive services and a robust governance model over the coming years.
